New Committee Restructure Offers Opportunities to BSCC Membership
Brisbane Southside Chamber of Commerce members will have access to a wider variety of roles in the Committee, due to a restructure in the lead up to Septembers AGM.
Along with the usual office-bearing roles of President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer, four teams have been established to better manage roles.
Committee members can choose between the four different teams to operate in aimed at achieving different goals to best represent both the chamber and wider business community.
The Membership Experience Team will be responsible for organising events, including fundraising, showcasing member businesses, finding appropriate speakers for our monthly events and generally create exciting and memorable member experiences.
The Partner Relationship Team will be responsible for building and enhancing relationships with our members through our memberships, sponsorships, and choosing chamber ambassadors for special events such as the Lord Mayors Forum.
The Business Engagement Team will be responsible for member development, growth and business engagement incorporating online communication, website management, training workshops and Social Media marketing.
The Young Professionals Team will be responsible for the development and growth of newer businesses and young professionals who are establishing themselves in the business environment, be it through connecting and assisting entrepreneurs, providing advice on sustainable business practices, or driving innovation and adaptation to meet the needs and concerns of newer and younger businesses and industries.
Committee Members must be paying BSCC members to qualify for nomination, and nominations must be proposed and seconded by two other members.
Nominations will be announced at the September AGM Breakfast, on the 16th September at the Mt Gravatt Bowls Club.
