As the year comes to a close and we run our final event for 2024, I’d like to thank you for your ongoing support of our chamber.
It’s been an amazing year of growth for our chamber and we are excited for the year ahead.

November November saw a very well attended event with over 40 guests for the very important topic – how to be well prepared if applying for a government tender for service procurement as we head into the Olympic games. Frank Dinneen, Queensland Government’s Small Business Procurement Advisor, gave some excellent insights on what needs to be considered when applying . Chamber Charity – 2024
Safe Haven Community (January – June)
We were pleased to include the Safe Haven Community as our chamber charity for the first 6 months of 2024. Their mission is to help women and their children escape domestic abuse, and to empower, guide and support them to lead the life they were meant to lead.

Viv’s Place (July – December)
For the last half of 2024, the Brisbane Southside Chamber of Commerce is pleased to support, Viv’s Place, which is run by Vivian Crick.
Her Mission for Viv’s Place is to empower women with breast cancer (& their loved ones) to rediscover their identity, find their voice, and face their journey with confidence and courage.
By providing a safe and nurturing environment, inspiring individuals to find their inner strength, and fostering a supportive network that promotes resilience, Viv’s Place strives to impact positively the lives of those affected by breast cancer.
The vision for Viv’s Place is to create a bright and sustainable community that empowers women and their support networks to navigate the tremendously difficult breast cancer diagnosis and its aftermath. Viv’s Place aims to provide them with the tools, resources, and emotional support needed to positively move forward in life, while creating a lasting legacy that extends beyond us.
